Manchester United Face Trip to Austria
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have made it through to the last 16 of the competition after defeating Club Brugge 6-1 on aggregate in the last 32.
After a 1-1 draw in the first leg, United cemented their place in the next round following an emphatic 5-0 win over the Belgian side at Old Trafford. Two late goals from Fred rounded off the win, having scored three goals in 14 first-half minutes.
They will travel to LASK Linz of Austria, who have reached this stage of the competition for the first time in their history. They defeated Dutch side AZ Alkmaar 3-1 on aggregate to confirm their place in the last 16.
Wolverhampton Wanderers Face Olympiacos
It was a different tale for Wolves, as the first leg saw them virtually complete the tie having defeated Espanyol 4-0 at Molineux.
Their opponents Olympiacos defeated felllow English side Arsenal in a last-gasp victory in the second leg at The Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners led 1-0 going into the second leg after Alexandre Lacazette scored the winner with ten minutes remaining in Greece. However, Mikel Arteta’s side were taken to extra-time after Pape Cisse scored the only goal for the visitors in normal time. The visitors then sealed their surprise victory with just a minute of extra-time to go through Youseff El Arabi.
